European Biathle Championships – Setubal, Portugal 2016
We are delighted to announce that both Dylan and Tilds have competed in the European Biathle this weekend. Both were racing in the Youth E age category (9-10years) The heats for the main even were on the Saturday in the delightful heat of the Portuguese sun! They both qualified admirably in the 400m Run/50m swim/400m run despite the weather being totally different from home!
The final was held on the Sunday. Matilda was first off and raced really well hitting the water in 5th place and after goggle malfunction fought her way through the choppy sea to come out in 3rd place where she stayed for the remainder of the race – amazing. She also helped the team win 1st place in the team event. Dylan was next and he was amazing with a great first 400m run he coped with the swim fantastically and the came out of the water having gained several places in the swim and then completed a super-fast final 400m to finish an amazing 8th in an age category he was one of the youngest in. We are super proud of both of them!
Infinity Aquathlon 2016
2016 saw us host our very first Aquathlon. The day was a huge success, with over 200 racers from aged 8-60 and finished with everyone having smiles on their faces. A huge thank you to all the members who helped out on the day we could not have done it without you. We also managed to raise money for our chosen charity Breast Cancer Now.
